Michelle K, former Business Administration Apprentice
I started working in Consumer Services when I was 19. After going to college and realising it was not what I wanted to do, I applied for the Modern Apprentice role to gain more knowledge of working in a business environment. This scheme appealed to me because I would be working whilst I was learning.
Consumer services produced a personal training programme for me, which covered all aspects of the Consumer services department. This helped me complete the NVQ I took to complement my Modern Apprenticeship.
When covering each aspect of the department, I was given my daily jobs to complete. This gave me a great insight into how each aspect of Consumer Services helps towards the success of the department.
I completed my NVQ within nine months and went on to secure a permanent position in Consumer Services. I am now studying towards the completion of my NVQ Level 3 Business and Administration.
