Quality Assurance

When I started Uni I had no idea what I wanted to do 3 years down the line and had little idea of what the options were. I spent my summers working in various food factories and loved the fast paced, challenging environment. I knew I would enjoy working in the food industry and thought that my science background would be well used in Quality Assurance.
I'm 1 year into my Graduate Scheme and it can certainly be said that working in Quality Assurance for Nestlé is far from boring. I wasn't placed into a day-to-day role that would potentially narrow my learning; instead, I have had the chance to work on various projects at Tutbury Factory which produces Nescafé Original Jars and Dolce Gusto capsules. The site is developing quickly and offers fantastic opportunities for a diverse job. Not only have I worked on smaller, self-run projects developing visual display and document control throughout the site, but I have been involved in much bigger projects involving people from across the Nestlé world.
Working in Quality Assurance has given me the chance to work with people from all areas of the business and has helped me to understand what opportunities there are for my future. I am still none the wiser as to what direction I'd like my career to take but I know that there are endless possibilities within Nestlé and I'll be supported throughout.
