I studied business and languages at University, so I haven't come from a Finance background, but building a career at Nestlé appealed to me because of the breadth of opportunities and degree of support on offer. The graduate programme gives you exposure to three totally different areas of Finance, enabling you to gain unrivalled experience which will underpin your CIMA studies and accelerate your career.
I've just completed my first year working in Nestlés York Factory, our largest manufacturing site in the UK, and from day one I've been given real responsibility... when Nestlé says "show us what you're made of" they mean it! I've also taken on an extra role as Charity Champion and have organised a series of events raising over £50,000 for our Charity of the Year. Alongside this I've had fantastic support to help me succeed with a mentor, line manager and other graduates all on-hand for advice, insight and training.
Studying in the evenings and at weekends can be tough but everything I learn at college is relevant to the modern business environment and has practical application for every Finance role you'll encounter at Nestlé. CIMA is a globally recognised and truly versatile qualification that helps you develop into a future leader and can open the door to gaining international experience.
I'm really looking forward to starting my next challenging and exciting placement, this time in Commercial Finance, and would definitely recommend the graduate programme to anyone serious about a career in Finance.
