Spending a year of your degree course on an Industrial Placement with the world’s largest food company is every bit as challenging and stimulating as it sounds. We offer placements that not only give you the best experience a student can get, but are also highly beneficial to your future career. Perform well here, and we may well ask you back after you’ve graduated.
Your Industrial Placement year at Nestlé would be from summer 2010 – summer 2011. We offer an attractive salary of £16,500, alongside a great range of benefits including 25 days’ holiday and flexible working hours. We’ll reimburse your interview travel expenses and also assist with accommodation at the start of your placement.
I.T. Industrial Placement Opportunity (York)
This placement is an interesting opportunity for a committed individual with a flare for computer programming to gain experience working for a large multi-national company.
The successful candidate will work in a small team on new and existing in-house developed applications providing a programming and support role to the Logistics division. The systems are developed using Oracle as the database provider with a variety of VB and C# client and server applications

As part of the Business Systems Team you play a highly active role in supporting our Global SAP systems which are implemented across Nestlé worldwide. You could be aligned to a team supporting a specific business area across all Nestlé sites in the UK. It’s a phenomenal responsibility. As well as IS support responsibilities, there is the potential to work on projects, and to take responsibility for planning and delivering training to business users.

A fantastic opportunity to work on one of our factory sites for a year, getting exposure to some of the most cutting edge technology in the industry. You would be getting involved in real hands-on work from the start with the potential to work on some major projects. A truly great opportunity to find out how to apply your engineering studies in a food production environment.
