Graduate Quality Assurance Jobs

Quality Assurance

We’re looking for the very best science graduates to embark on a Quality Assurance (QA) career. The role of the QA function is to ensure that all the food products that we make and sell are safe to eat, comply with legal requirements and are great quality products. To do this, we work closely with other functions such as new product development (NPD), manufacturing and engineering. No two days will be the same as you work in this fast-paced and rapidly-changing production environment.

Our QA graduates take on a variety of challenges such as investigating and managing improvement projects, working in teams to introduce new products or manufacturing lines, and day-to-day tasks such as tasting products. It is usual for our graduates to be based in two different locations, each of about 12 months duration. These placements could be in our head offices in York or Croydon or in any of our 7 UK confectionery or beverage factories.

You’ll receive training to develop your knowledge of the QA role and to develop your team working and leadership skills. As part of Quality Management, you’ll need the confidence to work with Management and Operational teams within our factories – instigating change and ensuring compliance and understanding. We’ll expect you to work on issues and incidents with a proactive, can-do attitude. You’ll need an eye for detail, data analysis skills and a passion for ensuring the highest standards.

As these are specialist roles, we are primarily looking for individuals who have studied a Science-based degree. This gives us the logical thinking needed to work through complex problems and come up with solutions.
