What is a Modern Apprenticeship in Engineering at Nestlé?

The four-year training programme involves a mix of college study and practical, on the job work experience. This varies slightly from factory to factory, due to the different technologies and processes involved in making each of the various products. After the four years, there is the possibility of further academic study. We offer an attractive starting salary so you can earn while you learn. The rate increases yearly once you have successfully completed your training. The programme starts in September 2012.

The Training Programme

  • Year 1 – full-time course study at the local college
  • Years 2, 3 and 4 - one day per week at college and four days on the job practical work experience in a factory with our engineers
  • Nestlé – not only covers a number of individual engineering skills, in both electrical and mechanical engineering, but also lets you learn about a wide range of manufacturing and packing equipment plus our factories’ quality, hygiene and safety standards.
