A veterinary career at Purina PetCare isn't just about selling pet food. It's about providing pet care expertise and advice.
That may not sound like much of a distinction, but it makes all the difference. It's this passion for pet care which led us to deliver outstanding advances in pet nutrition in a wide variety of fields. Most recently within our PRO PLAN and PURINA VETERINARY DIETS ranges, with product innovations that represent a real leap forward in nutritional performance.
Today, our ambition to provide the best pet care solutions in the world remains undiminished. Our team of vets, veterinary nurses and veterinary salespeople all work to make this happen. They epitomise the commitment to innovation, science and progress that has made us an industry benchmark.
Knowledge and consumer insight drives everything we do. It's up to the minute knowledge which enables our salespeople to convert leads into appointments and provide training to veterinary clinics on our latest products. It's knowledge and consumer understanding which enables our veterinary nurses to respond to our consumers' queries about their pets' health and well-being. It's knowledge and expertise which enables our vets to provide our people with the latest training, as well as influence industry-wide debates on pet care issues such as obesity or the use of carbohydrates.
But what will all this knowledge mean for you?
Well, if you join as a veterinary salesperson, it will mean using more technical knowledge than ever before to inform your selling technique. Our salespeople are trained and tested on their product knowledge every six weeks, and use these insights to not only sell our products, but to deliver bespoke educational programmes such as our practice-wide 'Lunch and Learn' sessions. It's fast-paced, constantly evolving and there really will be a new challenge everyday.
As a veterinary nurse within our Consumer Careline, you'll use your constantly expanding knowledge of pet care and the Purina business to provide our consumers and our people with quality advice and information. An owner thinks their pet is overweight? You'll be the one who identifies the root cause of the problem and prescribes an appropriate diet and exercise regime to help their pet get back in shape. It may even mean contacting the animal's vet for a better understanding of their clinical history.
Whatever it is that you do, one fact's for sure: you'll find that we're unique. Not just because we work in a pet-friendly environment where employees bring in their dogs. Not just because we offer the very latest scientific advancements in pet nutrition. Not just because we're consistently growing our market share. But because, together, we do all these things with passion, knowledge, expertise and care.
