Tutbury Factory Engineering Apprenticeship

If you are ambitious, keen to learn and have an aptitude and practical interest in engineering, then this is your chance to embark on an apprenticeship with the World's leading food and Beverage Company. We are looking to recruit high calibre people and have opportunities within Tutbury Factory for an Advanced Apprenticeship in Maintenance Engineering starting in September 2012.

Successful candidates will follow the Advanced Apprenticeship Training Programme leading to a level 3 Engineering NVQ and BTEC Level 3 Diploma, progressing onto further academic study and the opportunity to develop their career at Nestle.

What’s the selection process? (Hints and tips on how to prepare)

  • Psychometric Aptitude Tests – Numerical, Verbal and Mechanical (Engineering only). Pencil/paper-based tests.

Why? To ensure you meet the college course requirements for the Apprenticeship.

  • Interview – One-to-one with someone from the area of Nestlé you would be joining. The interview would include a combination of motivational and competency-based interview questions.

Why? To assess you against the core skills/competencies we have identified to be successful in the role.

  • Group Exercise (Engineering only) – Problem Solving Exercise with four or five other candidates.

Why? To assess your team working, problem solving and communication skills.

  • Practical Exercise

Why? A chance for you to use a piece of equipment, fully supervised by a qualified engineer, to assess your hands-on practical working ability.
