This is your chance to work on current HR issues – so current that until nearer the time, we don't know what they'll be! It really will depend on the constant changes in priorities and business needs, but you'll certainly be challenged and will add real value to the business.
In past years, students have spent six months in Employee Services and six months in Recruitment Services and your placement is likely to be similarly structured.
Employee Services is where Nestlé UK employees go with their HR related queries and it also includes a team that supports training programmes and related activities. You could be involved in one or more of these teams, delivering on a specific project or handling day to day queries on areas such as employment contract changes, maternity leave or absence requests.
In Recruitment Services you'll probably join the graduate recruitment team, supporting our 2013 campaign. You'll learn how businesses like Nestlé attract graduates, how assessment days are structured and the types of skills we look for. You'll help with the administration and co-ordination of the graduate recruitment process, particularly setting up telephone interviews and running assessment centres.
